Where?

Mr. Stephen Harper attempts to confuse Canadians every time he speaks. I believe his hidden agenda is to confuse voters so badly they might vote "Conservative" instead of "Liberal."

Recently our illustrious Prime Minister had to point out there is no fiscal imbalance in Canada. "If this were the case, the federal and provincial governments would be entitled to make a claim on each others' resouces."

If this were the case, people in central Canada would be envious of Alberta's wealth. Instead, they are rejoicing over it. If people in Central Canada were unhappy about Alberta, would these people not agree to elected senators, just to make the point that Alberta is not really part of Canada? Canadians have appointed senators. That is part of what makes us Canadian.

The great need for child care also binds us as Canadians. According to the Liberal Party of Canada, Statistics Canada reports 84 per cent of families have parents who are both in the workforce and 70 per cent of women with children under the age of six are employed. We have a lot of Canadian children whose parents aren't home when the little ones get out of school - we need child care! Think of the children! Never mind there are a few redneck women who enter fields where shift work is common - most of these women live in Alberta where the Liberals are not appreciated. Never mind there are a few women who work more than one minimum-wage job with no hope of getting out of the vicious cycle of poverty while raising a child or two - these women would only get $19 a week after taxes if they vote Conservative.

Recently Mr. Stephen Harper allowed a news release that disposable income has not increased in 12 years. Mr. Harper, I'll have you know that the Liberal Party of Canada is proud to say the average family income was eight per cent higher in 2003 than in 1993! Who needs to reduce GST or cut taxes for families, when proper government management accomplishes an eight per cent increase in free money? Environmental protection doesn't grow on trees, you know, and you can't take the social out of funding and still have social programs.

That last outburst was regretably necessary to get the attention of the leader of the Conservative party. Please, don't outburst like that at home. I am a professional.

Calm and serene, vote Liberal - from HerImperialHighness.

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://thewrynoparty.blogspot.com/2005/12/fiscal-imbalance-where.html' title='Fiscal Imbalance? Being a great leader involves much more. A great leader accepts responsibility for the errors of others, and does so graciously.

That is why we are so fortunate, here in Canada. Our great leader, the great and glorious Prime Minister Paul Martin (huzzah at his name), graciously accepted responsibility where the Ontario government failed - in the problems of Kashechewan. Our Prime Minister has graciously offered to move the community to higher ground. This, of course, will solve all of the problems that this community was forced to deal with when the Ontario government failed to make this offer.

It is a great day for all Canadians. Mr. Solberg acknowledges the greatness that is the glorious Liberal party and our logic therein. Mr. Solberg concedes that the Conservatives are responsible for every problem that has finally become known through the diligent digging of our wise and wonderful Prime Minister Paul Martin (let us sing his praises). To quote Mr. Solberg, "I know see that I was the one who was ridiculous." Indeed, Mr. Solberg.

Mr. Solberg goes on to acknowledge, "The Libs are entitled to govern as they see fit, and if you think otherwise you are wrong. In fact you are actually an un-Canadian redneck Neanderthal…" Indeed, Mr. Solberg.

Clearly, it is only those in Liberal top circles who can make the best decisions for Canada. That's why the SPAR contract is moving from Ehduhmonton to B.C. A close examination of the situation reveals that it would be unwise to continue a federal contract in hostile territory. And for those of you who don't know, Ehduhmontonians can provide very unpleasant reactions when discussing the federal Liberal party, policies and politicians in general.

We can only hope and pray that Ehduhmontonians do not take out any of this misplaced anger on our illustrious Anne McClellan, Deputy Prime Minister of Canada.

Social engineering does not happen overnight, nor does it happen easily. I am thrilled to report that we Liberals have managed to infiltrate the hardest nuts to crack, the politically-inclined Albertans. Some said it could not happen; they said Albertans were proud individualists who would find a way to get things done no matter how bad the situation seemed, and that people of such intelligence and ingenuity would never allow themselves to become weak-minded and/or reliant on others.

The subtle nature of this engineering is beautifully demonstrated on a web site "devoted to bettering Alberta and Albertans" to "advance Alberta's interests regardless of Canada". Despite this claim, the site encourages people to demonstrate that Albertans cannot do simple math (stating that someone born in 1949 must be at least 70 years old) and that Albertans cannot figure out how to send emails (repeated comments saying it would be so nice to have a response to this question; calls to have someone else email an individual to get a reply). We have achieved what none thought possible - reducing Albertans to a state of almost total inaction - to a point where takeover is nothing more than a carbon tax away.

It brings a tear to my weary eye, to see such public displays.

Many thanks to the great and glorious P. For those lacking the necessary experience, here are some tips to recognize the hidden Liberals:

1) Jump into an existing thread and highjack it to thump people with a completely different idea, one that serves your interests

2) Invent problems and keep harping on them until people believe the problems exist

3) When inventing problems, make them so difficult to believe that people will believe them, in spite of all sorts of facts that disprove your version - people still fall for the old "it's too good to believe" crap

4) If anyone dares to disagree with you or, worse, present actual facts to refute your version, call them out as being unsupportive - if necessary, use words like "racist" and "fear-mongering" and conjure up images of them beating baby seals with large clubs (creativity is highly encouraged)

5) Never, ever, back down from your assertation that you believe in the solid principles of whatever forum you're posting on - even as you cut the legs out from under those who actually support those principles

Now, I may have said too much - so go and enjoy!

Recent Developments

Dear me, I have been so busy lately <strike>stuffing money into envelopes and visiting Italian restaurants</strike> fundraising for our beloved Liberals, I have failed to provide further education and enlightenment to you, the beloved readers of this blog.

Let us review some of our most recent great and glorious accomplishments, shall we?

Governor General (to be) Jean Michaelle. Imagine how tired the average Albertan must be, dragging around pockets full of cash. Imagine how exhausted the poor accountants at the oil companies are, working all that overtime to enter the massive profits they are stealing from everyday Canadians. Believe me, it is not because Canadians want more money from Alberta, it is because they feel such a deep and liberal kinship with Albertans that they wish to help us lighten our load. Praise to our great and glorious yada yada.

We shall close now, gentle readers, with the ever faithful belief in the power and joy that is the Liberal Party of Canada.

Some Parents Can't Afford Lessons, So Everyone Must Chip In

Excellent. Another topic on which everyone can agree. Following a series of drowning deaths in Ontario, Carolyn Bennett (the federal minister responsible for public health) is calling on the federal government to fund swimming lessons for children ACROSS CANADA.

As the minister said, "I think every kid should know what to do when they fall into water."

It isn't like a natural reflex is to, you know, paddle, or anything like that. And we can't be too careful - ANYONE could fall into the water whilst fulfilling the life-long dream of all Canadians - that dream, of course, being a visit to Ontario. Where there is a lot of water. Because obviously the highest danger of drowning is in Ontario. Because obviously every Canadian wants to live in Ontario, so every Canadian visits Ontario to scope out the prospects.

Actually, I think the feds should require proof of adequate swimming training from ALL visitors to Ontario, and provide funding for anyone who lacks a decent "fall in and paddle" technique. Of course, that would require a few hundred testers/instructors to examine the technique of all potential visitors - after a full study to determine the best minimum requirements for swimming, and obtaining an appropriate consultant group to administer training and certification.

A small price to pay for public safety.

People, this is another "same sex marriage" and "budget" idea - something we can ALL support.

Send your spare change to the Liberal Party of Canada - NOW!

Fun-d Raising

People of Canada - send money to the Liberal Party.

Look at the facts. The Right Hon. PM Paul Martin cancelled the sponsorship program as his first act in office on December 12th, 2003. He removed people from positions as crown corporation executives. He filed a lawsuit against 19 defendents. And, of course, it was this Liberal government that appointed Justice Gomery.

By year five, Ontario will receive $746 million per year in stable and predictable funding for better roads and improved transportation. This government is providing significant funding to the Federal Economic Development Initiative for Northern Ontario (FedNor). Their early learning and child care will give Ontario's families the assistance they need. These and other priorities were what Ontarians said they wanted the Liberals to focus on when Ontarians went to the polls last year. It is why Ontarians voted for a Liberal government.

This Liberal government is committed to moving Canada forward.

So send money! They need it! Put some fun back into fundraising! Call people in Alberta (select the names at random from any Alberta telephone directory) - remember, Alberta is two hours behind Ontario - and tell them the Liberals need more money!

Liberal Mental ity

As originally pointed out on this blog, hockey is the place of greatest need for equality rights, now that the gay people can marry and live without fear of being different. How can we expect young people to learn about fair play if we don't offer them a completely fair playing field?

Leave it up to Mom. Jane Emlyn has to present the case herself to the Human Rights Tribunal in Vernon, B.C. as reported by the Ottawa Citizen on Monday, July 11/05. The case, sadly, is clear discrimination against females by the brutish amateur hockey association in B.C. You see, Jane's daughter, like so many other young females, is forced to use a separate change room for hockey games. Obviously this is a ploy to keep the young women out of the banter and backroom strategizing that takes place before every amateur hockey game in B.C. Obviously this is part of a larger conspiracy to keep young women barefoot, pregnant and out of the game. The young women are allowed a scant 15 minutes before game time to share in the camaraderie that is the change room. And, as the parent of any teenage boy knows, what can possibly happen in 15 minutes? Why not give the girls the full treatment?

Precendent was set by the enlightened New Brunswick Human Rights Commission last October. The ruling, that female players had their rights violated by being forced to change in a separate room, set the tone that the rest of us should be ringing to. Ms. Emlyn's daughter, brilliantly named Jewel, points out that teammates who don't feel comfortable in a co-ed locker room could change elsewhere. Therefore, players who wished to demonstrate weakness could ask for separate changerooms, and make it easier for the coaches to weed out those who really aren't suited for the game of real life.

One must ask - why didn't any of the young men complain about separate changerooms? Did NONE of them notice that the women were being discriminated against? I hope Ms. Emlyn is also raising this issue with the Human Rights Tribunal, because more than the state of her daughter's underwear and team tactics are at stake.

One must also ask how Jewel knows so much about the activities in the boys' changeroom. It seems clear that the boys have been bragging to her about how much fun they have, which is just another sign of the rampant and degrading discrimination that Canadian women still face.

Oh woe. We have so far to go.

And I had such hope for B.C.

And welcome, Ms. Understood. Old Fuddle-Duddle needs a lot of explanations to see the errors of his ways, as does John Galt. We (the morally correct Liberals) have spent a great deal of <strike>money</strike> time teaching Liberal values to the mainstream media. They know the business of government never ends.

That is true. The business of government never ends. For example, snow, rain, hail, floods and earthquakes shall not diminish our efforts to raise money for women who wish to represent the best of the best in Parliament yet - through no fault of their own, the fault resting entirely on the backs of evildoers such as Mr. Harper - lack sufficient funds to run a successful campaign. Yes, I speak of the Judy LaMarsh Fund. Be a dear and Google to read all about it, won't you?

Fundraising is not the only important business that continues. How about setting <strike>voters straight</strike> policies that reflect the needs of the <strike>leaders</strike> people? Do you think such policies appear like magic? No, indeed, these takes months of work at all levels across this great land. People who have given must give more. People who have not given must give and give generously. There has never been a time of greater need as now, when we still face the outcome of the Gomery Inquiry and the resultant hours of pointless insults by the opposition. We, each and every Liberal, must feel the pain of our elected representatives in Ottawa, and must respond from the bottom of our wallets to assist in the pain relief effort.

My goodness, I meant only to mention that the mainstream media was somewhat misleading in recent articles. I trust this short missive gives the good and gentle reader the starting points for several areas of major concern and action.

As always, I remain,

HerImperialHighness

Just When You Think Progress Is Possible

Once again, I am dismayed by the absolute lack of respect some people have for our young people and the concept of fairness in team play. Once again, a resident of the great and glorious GTA is fighting back against the sneaky tactics of the conservatives - or is that the Conservatives, one must ask? - to undermine the fundamental right for everyone to be special.

Dalius Butrimas was just trying to help his little boy with his hockey equipment when the nasty Novice White team officials got ugly. Team officials suspended Brendan in October 2002, then demoted him to a less skilled team - an announcement made publicly, and that made Brendan feel sad, quite mad, and motivated enough to sue the hockey association for $10,000. We must doff our caps to a ten-year-old who knows enough about the legal system to engage the services of a lawyer and to initiate $10,000 proceedings.

I am appalled, as I am sure you are, gentle reader. Imagine. A seven-year-old who can't get in and out of his hockey equipment is moved to a league more suitable for his limited abilities - I mean, what were these officials thinking? Don't they know that everyone deserves the same rights, the same recognition, the same opportunities no matter how others must be hampered in the process? Don't these officials get the message yet? In November 2002, New Brunswick resident Micheal Croteau sued the league because the league didn't name his son the league's most valuable player. This case, good and kind reader, is on its way to the Supreme Court of Canada, where all is made right and nothing is sacred.

Let us send all sorts of strength and power to the hockey players of tomorrow, who deserve to play professionally no matter how inept they may be.

http://news.yahoo.com/s/cpress/20050619/ca_pr_on_na/hockey_dad_suit

Smogaway

Bad thoughts pollute the air. We all know that. Bad thoughts make people say and do bad things.

Therefore, would everyone in the GTA please restrict your thoughts to good things instead of worrying about the Liberals? Think in positive terms. If you find yourself starting to worry, draw a big red X right through that mental image, and replace it with your smiling face. You are happy because universal day care is a reality. You are happy because Kyoto is a reality without affecting the GTA. You are happy because you don't raise cows (no cows, no mad cow disease). You are happy because there will never, ever be another disaster like SARS. See how happy you are? This type of thinking will clear the air.

A wonderful result of this positive thinking is, you will be more diligent than ever about recycling. You will cease to wonder if the items you so carefully separate actually stay separated and end up in recycling instead of in a landfill. You will be more diligent about reading only good newspapers and then the bad newspapers won't be able to stay in business. You will cease to wonder if the bad newspapers might actually be reporting the truth. You will be alert to any infrigements of your rights, such as your right to a smoke-free bingo hall and Legion Hall. You will cease to wonder if the government might sometime pass a law that makes you less free.

Less stress, more clean air. I am sure the Hon. Belinda Stronach will forgive me for the lack of formality in view of the alliteration afforded by the use of her given name. As reported at www.bloc-harper.com, the Hon. Belinda Stronach was the saviour of Canada's future, at least for a little while.

All is not secure, however. I would alert all loyal Canadians (each and every Liberal one of us) to pay close attention to the evils that are diagrammed at www.bloc-harper.com/blocharper/task.htm. As you can see, both Quebec and the Western provinces need to be protected from the dangers that are Harper & company. Harper intends to transfer unprecendented levels of power, authority and control to all provinces and territories. Why, such powers have not been seen at the provincial level since before the Right Hon. Pierre Trudeau, may he rest in Liberal <strike>pieces</strike> peace. As spelled out at the website, the logical end is: provinces that share cultural and economic interests will decide they would be better off separate from Canada! That would mean a dismantling of the Canada that we know and love! That would mean people in the remaining portions would be responsible for funding their own problem solving actions - even if the remaining portions lack the finances to fund the social responses to global problems! How can we allow this to happen?

A better question, a smarter question: How can we prevent this from happening? 1. We must obfuscate the information. People must not be allowed to communicate in a single, understandable language. That way, we cannot be accused of withholding information - we can honestly say that people just didn't take the time to learn the language we're using to express the information. 2. Pass Orders-in-Council in secret, and ram legislation through with no time for debate or questions, to ensure power stays in Ottawa and out of the provincial realms. 3. Spend, spend, spend - keep Quebec in Canada - the western areas are too far away to notice what's going on, but we need Hull in Canada! 4. Promote non-English education and employment - most of the westerners speak English, so - let's stick with French as the new language of choice - that should keep Quebec happy and the westerners confused. 5. Hide the costs of language obsfucation through all levels of government. 6. Should anyone question or criticize our actions, make it clear that the person is either insane (and therefore in need of treatment) or an extremist (and therefore in need of treatment) and in either case, should be ignored. Make it clear that a chimpanzee is more qualified to comment on government policy than anyone who dares to question government policy. 7. Tax the west more heavily. If they had to work more hours, they would be more tired, and therefore less able to complain or even find things about which to complain. The west is supposed to provide raw materials (including cash) to eastern Canada anyways; that was the arrangement; if they don't like it, they can move out east - sorry, just a little bit of levity in an otherwise horrendously serious sitiation.

There you have it - a simple seven-point plan to keep Quebec and the west quiet. And all because the Hon. Belinda Stronach was able to keep the country alive at its darkest hour!

Smell The Fear .... Fear The Fear

Something has gone horribly, terribly wrong for The Right Hon. Paul Martin and I implore each of you as honest and true Canadians to pray for him - in a non-denominational, non-threatening, tolerate-of-all-religions-and-no-religions sort of way - that he will find the strength he needs to rise above this latest of cruel tests.

Ontario "Liberal" MP Pat O'Brien is now Ontario "Independent" MP Pat O'Brien. Like the flutter of butterfly wings, the loss of this traitor means good things for our beloved Liberal party - except for the fear of an election call, now that the numbers have changed. (The loss of Gurmant Grewal is, I fear, temporary, as stress leave could end at any time, especially if there is a vote in the House and the fear-inspiring Mr. Harper forces Mr. Grewal to return for the vote)

Folks, it isn't just the numbers. The bigger issue here is the innuendo. There are rumours that Liberals don't support same-sex marriage. Now, I ask you - a an honest and true Canadian, how could you not support same-sex marriage? It isn't as if same-sex marriage means the breakdown of family life as we know it. Same-sex marriage legislation shows the world that, once again, Canada is a leader in tolerance and acceptance. And if Harper, O'Brien and the other racist bigot knuckle-dragging redneck westerners can't see that by now, I don't know what we have to do to get them to see the light. O'Brien says The Right Hon. Paul Martin did not deliver on "full, fair and meaningful" hearings. The Liberals heard from over 60 witnesses - 20 more than originally expected - how can that be anything but full, fair and meaningful? I don't know exactly who the witnesses were, but I can assure you that each person who spoke of tolerance, acceptance and the political correctness of same-sex marriage was given ample time to express these leadership-inspired thoughts to the committee. As the Hon. House Leader Tony Valeri said, government will sit through the summer if required to ensure Bill C-38 is passed.

That is dedication! That is the kind of inspired leadership Canadians need and deserve! Politicians who are willing to work through the summer to pass legislation that almost half of the people in the House don't want to vote for! You and I, as people who work all year long, have very little concept of the kind of sacrifice these loyal public servants are making by pledging to work through the summer to pass a law that is only half wanted.

Here's a little secret about working through the summer: the Alberta MPs aren't well conditioned to handle the heat and humidity of Ottawa summers. Therefore, other than the never-say-the-word-tape-to-me Deputy PM true red Anne McLellan, the rest of those Albertans will lose strength as the days wear on - perhaps they will eventually lack the strength to speak at all - and then the government can pass the law that is only half wanted without having to expend time and energy on negotiations and education of these half-wits. You know they want an elected Senate, right? It is to laugh. Alberta - I hear it's somewhere west of the Ontario border, about a hundred years behind the times!

Repeat after me: "I pledge to provide all good thoughts to the Right Hon. Paul Martin and to have the same-sex marriage law passed even though only half the House of Commons wants it passed. So help me, Liberal."

Good night and good <strike>daze</strike> days to you, my Liberal friends.

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://thewrynoparty.blogspot.com/2005/06/smell-fear-fear-fear.html' title='Smell The Fear .... As Mr. Angry points out, the rules concerning confidence motions are not written down, they are based on tradition and precedence. Mr. Angry goes on to say that the Liberals may have broken our system of government. And the problem with that is .... ?

You see, Mr. Angry, we live in a new world, a world where we need to examine old beliefs against the current trends, and select only those beliefs that will serve our best interests. In the past, things like "tradition" and "precedence" were trends. Today, we focus on "rights" and "security". Today, we realize that Canadians have a right to fully-subsidized 24/7 daycare, a right to allow the Gomery Inquiry to finish even if there is no clear requirement for a report, a right to know where the evil guns are. We need the security of knowing someone more qualified than us is raising our children while we work, the security of knowing that the Gomery Inquiry won't be interrupted by an election that wasn't guaranteeing a Liberal majority, the security of knowing that our civil liberties take a back seat to the more important matters of allowing the government to ruin the lives of anyone who threatens our way of life.

Mr. Angry, you seem like a reasonable man. I'm sure that with some education and meaningful dialogue, you will find your place in the Liberal party.

The Liberals. We forgive. We count on Canadians to forget.

Studies Need Funding and Liberal Loving

For a short while, I found it somewhat disconcerting that no one, I repeat no one, has responded to any of my posts (at the time of writing this post).

Of course, you are all too busy celebrating to respond tonight. For tonight, the good and gracious people of Labrador have proven to the world that <strike>might is right</strike> good gracious, where did that come from? - that Liberals have the moral authority to rule Canadians.

Sadly, no partying for HerImperialHighness tonight! Tonight, I must complete my latest grant request - funding for a most important study to determine the effects of high profile politicians arriving at the site of a by-election on the eve of a by-election when the by-election affects the number of seats for the ruling party in the House of Commons. The specifics of this study will focus on why over 9,000 voters did not vote. The study hopes to bring forward recommendations that will cause more Liberal voters to show their pride.

Labrador Voters - Show The Liberals You Care!

Yet another chance to return a little to the party that gives us so much.

Today (May 24th) the people of Labrador have the chance to put Todd Russell into the driver's seat.

The dear boy has the most marvellous web site, toddrussell.ca.

Labrador has been proudly Liberal for 55 years. They wax eloquently about her qualifications. There are references to "the Alberta Harper Valley PTA" and apparently the person who wrote about this has been in close contact with Mr. Harper because of the comments about Mr. Harper's smell .... something about a different kettle of fish ... perhaps the commenter is a Maritimer, you know how they are. Warning: One "Yzy717" from the Turks and Caicos Islands speaks badly of our beloved Belinda, so skip right over that crazy talk.

Let us take a moment to remember Ms. Stronach's home-fed teachings. Her father, Mr. Frank Stronach, somehow managed to make a million or so dollars out of dirty, greasy auto parts. He is not afraid to get his hands dirty. He relates to the working class folks. Why, Mr. Stronach holds fundraising BBQ parties (Frank's Festivals) on his little farm to benefit the Aurora-Newmarket community. This is Ms. Stronach's background! This is where she learned to relate to the common folk!

Perhaps my logical reviews have scared off other posters here? For there is nothing like cold, hard logic to refute the claims of the insane.

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://thewrynoparty.blogspot.com/2005/05/you-see-people-care.html' title='You see? Some people are so ungrateful! Some people think that because the majority of voters cast their ballot for a Conservative candidate, the voters have a right to Conservative representation in the House of Commons. This is so incredible, so illogical, that I barely know how to refute this.

How about this: You voted for Ms. Stronach. She continues to represent you. Even better, she now has a powerful position from which to represent you! Instead of belonging to a backwaters political sham, Ms. Stronach is now a proud member of Canada's ruling party. And, through her adroit machinations, she has brought you into the fold of true Canadian pride - the Liberal party. You are now represented by a glowing member of the party that has the moral right to rule. What is there to complain about?

Honestly. Some people wouldn't recognize a miracle if it happened right in front of them. Like it just did. And, if they did acknowledge the miracle, they would still manage to find a reason to complain about it. Such people are not worthy of appropriate representation in Canada and yet Ms. Stronach, in all her glory, and the Liberal party, in all its magnificence, continues to act on your behalf!

I would write more, but really, when dealing with stupidity of this level, my emotions take over and I can't see the keyboard for my tears.

Just Do It!

I am, for the most part, squee because the Liberals (bless them, every one) have once again been shown as the only ruling party in Canada. What dampens my otherwise highly liberal spirits? The two-to-one decision in BC Appeal Court regarding one Paul Bryan and his extremely irritating habit of challenging the law. Clearly, Mr. Bryan has no business attempting to exert freedom of expression during a federal election. Can you imagine the chaos that would erupt if we all had freedom of expression during a federal election? That would mean once every four years (or so) every Canadian would, for a short time, be able to speak freely. Before long, some communist-American-anarchist would start demanding freedom of expression at time outside a federal election. In no time at all, Canadians would become confused by the massive input of new thoughts. And you know what that would lead to, don't you? Within months, a coalition of bloody Western separatists would be running Alberta - right out of Canada - and the poor folks of Ontario would end up footing the bill for the entire country. While we can't do too much for Mr. Bryan until his involuntary confinement for thought retraining, er, education on the betterment of the masses, we can do something to save ourselves:
1. Stop listening to crazy talk from people who challenge the Liberals. Just stop. Simply do not listen to them. The only way to protect the delicate balance of life you enjoy is by not opening the floodgates to alternative views.
2. Find out which BC Appeal Court panel member voted against limiting freedom of expression during federal elections, and send that panel member for education on the betterment of the masses.
This is serious. Do it. Then donate another paycheque to the federal Liberals. These are times of crisis, people, and we can't let the huge win of the budget motions overshadow these very real dangers to life as we know and love it!

This IS a great time to be a Liberal!

To be Canadian, truly Canadian, one simply must be a Liberal. Ms. Stronach knew that, she always did, deep down in her heart. Her daddy knew it, too, even though the Liberals were unable to make use of his magnificence when he was available for public service. That was always such a sad thing; Mr. Stronach's levels of perfection (as shown in his most recent shareholders' meeting, when he responded to complaints about his teeny weeny bonus by telling his critics to eat at another restaurant if they don't like the food) were simply too much for the backwards voters of his day. Fortunately, Mr. Stronach raised his pride and joy to respect two basic facts about Canada: You can never be too rich or too Liberal.

You, being mere peons, can barely understand the level of sacrifice Ms. Stronach has made for her country. She joined the opposition. She slept with the opposition. No, really, she did! Ms. Stronach personifies the concept of giving her all for her country. She set the bar very high, probably too high for most of you, but nevertheless, she is the guiding light and we must follow her example at this, the most critical time in our country.

Now, it is time for the citizens of this country to give back. Give until it hurts! Give until you have nothing left to give, then give whatever your neighbour has been hoarding! Canada is in crisis - a crisis so severe, Mr. Martin had to put aside his personal pain and make a public appeal for just a little more time! If that doesn't show you how desperate these times are, if Ms. Stronach's extreme personal sacrifice doesn't inspire you to vote Liberal - well, if you don't want to vote Liberal now, you are either dead or a Satan worshipper and either way, you don't belong in my Canada.

Get Liberal or get out!

Stay tuned for more inspirations.

B C goes to the polls

Today British Columbians go to the polls to try and elect a provincial government, I say try to elect a new government because according to elections BC: http://www.elections.bc.ca/ there are 45 different provincial parties registered.
I'll not name them all just a few that caused a twinkle in my eye:

The Alternative Party
The Annexation Party of British Columbia
B C Youth Coalition
British Columbia Citizens Alliance Now
British Columbia Marijuana Party
British Columbia Patriot Party
Citizens Action Party
Enterprise Party of B.C.
The Sex Party

ROFLMAO

These a just a few of the parties that are vieing for votes in BC. There is of course the big 3 as well, the Liberals, the Conservatives, and the ever present NDP. No I did not take the time to go and check out the policies of all the parties, I ust really don't care about what they stand for.

Add to this fray, that Elections BC have stated that if a "blogger" wants to make a statement for any of the parties, they must be registered as "advertisers".
