For shame, CTV! You imply that our country's moral leader, the Right Hon. Paul Martin, was involved in wrongdoings. For shame!
This Mr. Grewal (if indeed that
is his name) released transcripts and tapes that imply, if you choose to read into it, that the Prime Minister was informed of attempts to move Mr. Grewal to a Liberal position in the House of Commons.
And what of the tapes and transcripts from the Liberals named in this matter? What's that, there are no tapes or transcripts from the Liberals?
Want to know why? Because the conversations did NOT take place! Mr. Grewal's "tapes" and "transcripts" are BOGUS and nothing more than yet another (lame) attempt to smear the ruling party of Canada!I hope CTV does not receive government funding - any more. Traitors.
Why is he so angry?
Angry in T.O wrote about how the Right Honourable Paul Martin, P.C., M.P., Prime Minister of Canada, is changing the way Canada is governed. As Mr. Angry points out, the rules concerning confidence motions are not written down, they are based on tradition and precedence. Mr. Angry goes on to say that the Liberals may have broken our system of government. And the problem with that is .... ?
You see, Mr. Angry, we live in a new world, a world where we need to examine old beliefs against the current trends, and select only those beliefs that will serve our best interests. In the past, things like "tradition" and "precedence" were trends. Today, we focus on "rights" and "security". Today, we realize that Canadians have a right to fully-subsidized 24/7 daycare, a right to allow the Gomery Inquiry to finish even if there is no clear requirement for a report, a right to know where the evil guns are. We need the security of knowing someone more qualified than us is raising our children while we work, the security of knowing that the Gomery Inquiry won't be interrupted by an election that wasn't guaranteeing a Liberal majority, the security of knowing that our civil liberties take a back seat to the more important matters of allowing the government to ruin the lives of anyone who threatens our way of life.
Mr. Angry, you seem like a reasonable man. I'm sure that with some education and meaningful dialogue, you will find your place in the Liberal party.
The Liberals. We forgive. We count on Canadians to forget.
Studies Need Funding and Liberal Loving
For a short while, I found it somewhat disconcerting that no one, I repeat no one, has responded to any of my posts (at the time of writing this post).
Of course, you are all too busy celebrating to respond tonight. For tonight, the good and gracious people of Labrador have proven to the world that might is right good gracious, where did that come from? - that Liberals have the moral authority to rule Canadians.
Sadly, no partying for HerImperialHighness tonight! Tonight, I must complete my latest grant request - funding for a most important study to determine the effects of high profile politicians arriving at the site of a by-election on the eve of a by-election when the by-election affects the number of seats for the ruling party in the House of Commons. The specifics of this study will focus on why over 9,000 voters did not vote. The study hopes to bring forward recommendations that will cause more Liberal voters to show their pride.
Labrador Voters - Show The Liberals You Care!
Yet another chance to return a little to the party that gives us so much.

will be Prime Minister. They wax eloquently about her qualifications. There are references to "the Alberta Harper Valley PTA" and apparently the person who wrote about this has been in close contact with Mr. Harper because of the comments about Mr. Harper's smell .... something about a different kettle of fish ... perhaps the commenter is a Maritimer, you know how
they are. Warning: One "Yzy717" from the Turks and Caicos Islands speaks badly of our beloved Belinda, so skip right over that crazy talk.
Let us take a moment to remember Ms. Stronach's home-fed teachings. Her father, Mr. Frank Stronach, somehow managed to make a million or so dollars out of dirty, greasy auto parts. He is not afraid to get his hands dirty. He relates to the working class folks. Why, Mr. Stronach holds fundraising BBQ parties (Frank's Festivals) on his little farm to
benefit the Aurora-Newmarket community. This is Ms. Stronach's background! This is where she learned to relate to the common folk!
Perhaps my logical reviews have scared off other posters here? For there is nothing like cold, hard logic to refute the claims of the insane.
Ingrates!
I have heard rumblings up with which I shall not put.
Some people in the Aurora-Newmarket riding wonder if they can take legal action against Ms. Stronach for "crossing the floor" and openly becoming a Liberal.
Can you believe it? Some people are so ungrateful! Some people think that because the majority of voters cast their ballot for a Conservative candidate, the voters have a right to Conservative representation in the House of Commons. This is so incredible, so illogical, that I barely know how to refute this.
How about this: You voted for Ms. Stronach. She continues to represent you. Even better, she now has a powerful position from which to represent you! Instead of belonging to a backwaters political sham, Ms. Stronach is now a proud member of Canada's ruling party. And, through her adroit machinations, she has brought you into the fold of true Canadian pride - the Liberal party. You are now represented by a glowing member of the party that has the moral right to rule.
What is there to complain about?Honestly. Some people wouldn't recognize a miracle if it happened right in front of them. Like it just did. And, if they
did acknowledge the miracle, they would still manage to find a reason to complain about it. Such people are not worthy of appropriate representation in Canada
and yet Ms. Stronach, in all her glory, and the Liberal party, in all its magnificence,
continues to act on your behalf!I would write more, but really, when dealing with stupidity of this level, my emotions take over and I can't see the keyboard for my tears.
Just Do It!
I am, for the most part, squee because the Liberals (bless them, every one) have once again been shown as the only ruling party in Canada. What dampens my otherwise highly liberal spirits? The two-to-one decision in BC Appeal Court regarding one Paul Bryan and his extremely irritating habit of challenging the law. Clearly, Mr. Bryan has no business attempting to exert freedom of expression during a federal election. Can you imagine the chaos that would erupt if we all had freedom of expression during a federal election? That would mean once every four years (or so) every Canadian would, for a short time, be able to speak freely. Before long, some communist-American-anarchist would start demanding freedom of expression at time
outside a federal election. In no time at all, Canadians would become confused by the massive input of new thoughts. And you know what
that would lead to, don't you? Within months, a coalition of bloody Western separatists would be running Alberta -
right out of Canada - and the poor folks of Ontario would end up footing the bill for the
entire country. While we can't do too much for Mr. Bryan until his involuntary confinement for thought retraining, er, education on the betterment of the masses, we
can do something to save ourselves:
1. Stop listening to crazy talk from people who challenge the Liberals. Just stop. Simply do
not listen to them. The only way to protect the delicate balance of life you enjoy is by
not opening the floodgates to alternative views.
2. Find out which BC Appeal Court panel member voted
against limiting freedom of expression during federal elections, and send that panel member for education on the betterment of the masses.
This is serious. Do it. Then donate another paycheque to the federal Liberals. These are times of crisis, people, and we can't let the huge win of the budget motions overshadow these very real dangers to life as we know and love it!
This IS a great time to be a Liberal!
To be Canadian, truly Canadian, one simply must be a Liberal. Ms. Stronach knew that, she always did, deep down in her heart. Her daddy knew it, too, even though the Liberals were unable to make use of his magnificence when he was available for public service. That was always such a sad thing; Mr. Stronach's levels of perfection (as shown in his most recent shareholders' meeting, when he responded to complaints about his teeny weeny bonus by telling his critics to eat at another restaurant if they don't like the food) were simply too much for the backwards voters of his day. Fortunately, Mr. Stronach raised his pride and joy to respect two basic facts about Canada: You can never be too rich or too Liberal.
You, being mere peons, can barely understand the level of sacrifice Ms. Stronach has made for her country. She joined the opposition. She slept with the opposition. No, really, she did! Ms. Stronach personifies the concept of giving her all for her country. She set the bar very high, probably too high for most of you, but nevertheless, she is the guiding light and we must follow her example at this, the most critical time in our country.
Now, it is time for the citizens of this country to give back. Give until it hurts! Give until you have nothing left to give, then give whatever your neighbour has been hoarding! Canada is in crisis - a crisis so severe, Mr. Martin had to put aside his personal pain and make a public appeal for just a little more time! If that doesn't show you how desperate these times are, if Ms. Stronach's extreme personal sacrifice doesn't inspire you to vote Liberal - well, if you don't want to vote Liberal now, you are either dead or a Satan worshipper and either way, you don't belong in my Canada.
Get Liberal or get out!

B C goes to the polls
Today British Columbians go to the polls to try and elect a provincial government, I say try to elect a new government because according to elections BC:

I'll not name them all just a few that caused a twinkle in my eye:

British Columbia Citizens Alliance Now

Citizens Action Party
Enterprise Party of B.C.
The Sex Party

These a just a few of the parties that are vieing for votes in BC. There is of course the big 3 as well, the Liberals, the Conservatives, and the ever present NDP. No I did not take the time to go and check out the policies of all the parties, I ust really don't care about what they stand for.
Add to this fray, that Elections BC have stated that if a "blogger" wants to make a statement for any of the parties, they must be registered as "advertisers". What ever happened to "freedom of speech" in this country?
This is something that is going to become very interesing when the Federal LIberals fall, and we Canadians go back to the polls. I guess that the only "blog" that will be reminding us Canadians not to vote for the Liberal Party of Canada is going to be Captains Quarters:
